To get an accent wall in ACNH, or Animal Crossing New Horizon, you first need to get a Pro Decorating License. you get that by purchasing it from the Nook Stop vending machine for 2,500 Nook Miles. Next up, go into Decorating Mode and bring at least one wallpaper with you. Once in the room that you want to redecorate, press the directional button that takes you into Room Editing Mode. Choose which wall you want to be the accent wall by pressing the + button to toggle between them. Lastly, once you have selected your wall, press X to complete the process. You can repeat these same steps to change and / or remove your accent walls. Incidentally, you can use this same method to hang stuff like chandeliers and the like from the ceiling.
