Annual Bellefonte car show returning in June
BELLEFONTE, Pa (WJAC) — An annual Centre County event will return in June after the pandemic forced it to be canceled last year.
The Historic Bellefonte Cruise will be held Father's Day weekend in downtown Bellefonte.
Borough council members voted to tentatively allow the event to run on June 18th and 19th.
The cruise usually draws thousands of classic car enthusiasts, but current outdoor gathering restrictions cap events at 250 people, so limits will have to change for the event to be a complete success.
"Going up and down the street, we are going to ask people to social distance as much as possible. We're requiring our vendors to come in with hand sanitizer and to have masks at their stands for themselves and their staff. We are doing the best that we can do."
The annual two-day car show has been a summertime fixture in Bellefonte for over 30 years and is billed as the second largest car show in Pennsylvania.
