Philly native arrested following fentanyl bust in Johnstown's Moxham neighborhood
JOHNSTOWN, Pa. (WJAC) — Authorities in Cambria County say two men are behind bars, including a Philadelphia native, following a traffic stop in the Moxham section of Johnstown.
Officials say on Wednesday, authorities conducted a stop, along the 200 block of Charles Street, after spotting a wanted individual in a vehicle.
Authorities say the passenger, identified as Arnest Barker, was taken into custody on an active arrest warrant.
Police say a search of the vehicle lead to the seizure of various drugs, including 6 grams of suspected crack cocaine, 10 grams of methamphetamine, marijuana and 8 grams of fentanyl, as well as over $1,000 cash.
Authorities say the driver, 30-year-old Rafael Rondon-Perez, of Philadelphia, was also taken into custody after he was found to be in possession of approximately 98 grams of fentanyl.
“Quick heads up action by agents recognizing a wanted person in a vehicle led to the seizure of a large amount of a tremendously dangerous substance. Thousands of dollars of substances were taken out of our community, and law enforcement is to be commended for their demonstrated commitment," said Cambria County DA Greg Neugebauer.
Investigators say Rondon-Perez was arraigned to the Cambria County Prison on various drug-related charges.
Officials say Barker is also being housed at the Cambria County Prison.
