Elden Ring Grand Lift of Dectus
The Grand Lift of Dectus in Elden Ring is, without a doubt, one of the most impressive – and intriguing – places in the entire game. This gigantic building obviously has a function, but many players are confused over what they need to do once they reach it. In fact, the purpose of this construction is to act as a bridge between Liurnia and Altus Plateau so that you can reach the Volcano Manor. To be able to do this, you will first need to find the Right and Left Dectus Medallion. When used together, they will allow you to activate the Grand Lift of Dectus. We will show you where both of these are located.
How to Activate Elden Ring Grand Lift of Dectus
To get the lift working, you will have to get both parts of the Dectus Medallion. Let’s begin with the Left Dectus Medallion. To get this key item, you will have to go to Fort Haight. This Fort can be found in the Mistwood area, which is in the eastern end of the Limgrave region. When you get there, climb your way to the top of the tallest tower there. You will find the Left Dectus Medallion in a chest there.

It is located in Fort Faroth, which is in Caelid. This place is filled with really tough enemies. If you are still under-leveled and can’t take them on yet, we recommend you use a summon to distract them, and then make a run for the ladder you will need to climb. The Right Dectus Medallion itself is located in a chest at the top there. Once you have both sides of the Dectus Medallion, go back to the Grand Lift of Dectus. Once you approach it, you will get a “Hoist Medallion” prompt. A short cutscene will play and the Grand Lift of Dectus is going to be functional once more.
Very early in your exploration of Elden Ring world you will find out that you need to prepare your character for different tasks. You'll need to learn how to use Ashes of War, how to two-hand weapons, or use magic spells during the course of your adventures. Many secrets are also waiting for you, such as, a hostile NPC Sellen that doesn't let you see her shop, an invisible man in a bush, or a huge turtle with a bell that lets you duplicate some very important items.
