Jeff Kwatinetz Leaves The Firm

LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — In a move that would appear to spell the end for The Firm, company co-founder and managing partner Jeff Kwatinetz has resigned from the company.

Kwatinetz's departure is the last of a series of high profile exits with Rick Yorn, and ex-sister-in-law Julie Yorn departing the company on October 19th to start a new firm. President and COO David Baram then left to join the Yorns, as did merchandising exec Jennifer Killoran and Snoop Dogg's manager Constance Schwartz, Variety reported.

Kwatinetz will take a number of the artists on his current roster and form a new firm that will focus on music, television and film management as well as production.

Kwatinetz co-founded The Firm in 1997 with partner Michael Green and the company initially focused primarily on music. This focus eventually broadened into music and television with the 2002 acquisition of Artists Management Group, a deal that brought clients such as Leonardo DiCaprio, Martin Scorsese, Cameron Diaz and Vin Diesel to the firm.

The disposition of Kwatinetz's full roster and what will become of the rest of the firm remains up in the air but a number of current employees are expected to make the transition with Kwatinetz. – CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
