The wide receiver (WR) was named the NFL All-Rookie Team for the 2011 season and has been invited to 5 Pro Bowls since joining the Falcons. He also holds a record of the highest average receiving yards per game in NFL history.

Julio Jones Bio

Julio Jones was born on February 8, 1989 as Quintorris Lopez Jones. Wondering why he has female names and how Julio got it? The reason for Julio’s birth name is that when his mother was pregnant with him, she was told she was carrying a girl. So she named the baby after the supposed gender when it was still in her womb. Surprisingly, the birth turned out to be a boy, but Queen decided to keep the planned names. His mother started calling him the nickname “Julio” when he was in middle school (seventh grade) and he’s just stuck with him ever since.

The NFL player received his high school education at Foley High School in Foley, Alabama. There he played for the school’s football team on the broad front and on the defensive and achieved a high level of notoriety due to his excellent statistics.

Besides football, he was also a valuable player on the basketball team. Jones was also involved in track and field events and was state champion in the long jump and triple jump two years in a row (2006 and 2007). In the 2007 indoor season he also became national champion in the high jump. He was an All-County selection from 2005-2007, won the title of Mr. Alabama Track & Field Athlete in 2007, and competed as a sprinter in the 2008 Class 6A Section 1 Meet.

After his very wealthy high school record, Rivals.com predicted Jones as a five-star recruit. In February 2008, Julio Jones announced his decision to attend ESPNU at the Crimson Tide in Alabama on National Signing Day.

During his first season, he became the first true novice in Crimson Tide history. Through his strong game, he quickly became a striker and won a place in the hearts of the fans. By the end of the season, he had 58 receptions, 924 yards and four touchdowns and was named SEC Freshman of the Year.

By the time he finished his career at the University of Alabama, he had made 8 career 100-yard plays, which is the 2nd in school history. He was also second in career shots (179) and yards (2,653) in school history and fourth in touchdown catches (15) and was named a 2010 first-team All-SEC selection.

Following his junior season, Julio drafted for the NFL Draft, forgoing his senior season. He excelled in the NFL Combine, recording the longest long jump and hitting the third-fastest 40-yard streak among receivers in attendance. This is despite the fact that he had a broken bone in his foot.

He was selected by the Atlanta Falcons as the 6th overall pick in the 2011 NFL Draft, becoming the second pick to be drafted.

After a very successful rookie year, the soccer star was named to the NFL All-Rookie Team for the 2011 season. He’s still in the franchise and continues to prove himself in every game.

Wealth (income and earnings)

Julio Jones has a net worth of $25 million. His career earnings of $76.61 million over more than eight seasons rank him 61st among active NFL players who started in 2018. He capped a $13.9 million year behind Matt Ryan and Desmond Trufant in 2017.

family

The broad recipient is Queen Marvin’s son. He has an older brother named Phillip who lost an arm to gunshot wounds in 2014. Due to a very strong bond the brothers share, Phillip attends many of the Falcons games to cheer on his brother.

Julio’s father left the family when he was five years old and his brother was therefore exclusively raised by his mother. Due to the pressure caused by his father’s absence, the soccer player’s mother had to work long hours at a fast food restaurant to feed her sons.

According to his mother, who spoke to USA Today, the 5-year-old Julio told her the day his father left that everything would be fine and that he was going to be a football player and everything would be fine for her. Although Julio is still in touch with his father, his relationship with his mother is stronger. The player credits his mother as the most influential person in his life.

Aside from things related to his football career, the NFL player does not give out any additional information about himself online. His social media pages and feeds are filled with images of football, inspirational quotes and selfies that he occasionally posts.

Although he was linked to Mexican/Filipino singer Jasmine Villegas at one time, it turned out to be wrong. In fact, on February 19, 2016, the lady in question welcomed a daughter named Ameera Reign with Ronnie Banks, who proposed to her in December last year. As it stands now, no one can say for sure if Julio Jones is single, married, has a girlfriend, or even has kids. His sexual orientation is also not known.
