BIOGRAPHY
It was during a theater performance that she attended as a child that Mathilde Ollivier found her vocation in comedy. She decided, with the support of her mother, to embark on this career and began by taking theater lessons. Trained at the Conservatory of the 14th arrondissement of Paris and then at Cours Simon, in 2014 she landed a supporting role in the play Mistinguett, Queen of the Roaring Twenties , directed by François Chouquet. In 2016, despite not speaking a word of English at the time of casting, she starred in her first film, The Misfortunes of François Jane , a black and white drama directed by Australian Patrick Pearse .
Seduced by the idea of playing in the language of Shakespeare and perfecting her learning, she decides to move to New York with all her savings. While she was forced to return to live in Paris, luck smiled on her and she landed the only female role in Overlord , a JJ Abrams production set during the Second World War. This feature film allows her to act in English and French and to reveal herself as an action heroine. She continued her rise in the United States with Joe Carnahan ‘s thriller , Boss Level , and the spy film Miss Atkins’ Army .
Eager to get more involved in projects, she went beyond acting and set up her own production company, La Palette. She reunites with Patrick Pearse for The Upright Woman , a documentary on the condition of women in Burkina Faso.
