More women accuse massage therapist of sexual assault
BELLEFONTE, Pa. (WJAC) — More women have accused a former Bellefonte massage therapist of being inappropriate during massage sessions.
Carl Nelson was back in court Wednesday, where two women testified that he touched them in a sexual manner during their massage sessions at his Bellefonte office.
Both said the initial stages of their appointments with Nelson were OK, but then they felt there was inappropriate touching along with other activity that made them feel uncomfortable.
The accusations come after Nelson was jailed this past summer on sexual assault charges.
In that case, another woman testified that Nelson, at one point during her appointment, climbed on top of her.
Since then Nelson's massage license has been suspended by the state, and he's been in the Centre County prison on $150,000 bail.
The charges against Nelson may be consolidated for trial purposes, but Bellefonte police stress it’s still an active investigation, and they want to hear from any other women who may have had problems with Nelson during a massage appointment.
