New Cambria Co. bar restaurant honors first responders and military

NANTY GLO, Pa. (WJAC) — There's a new bar restaurant in Nanty Glo.

Its theme -- first responders and military.

Heroes Tavern on McCoy Street opened its doors in December.

It was originally known as the Little Wheel Tavern.

Inside the restaurant there's an honor wall, with pictures of first responders.

Owner Billy Ray is the mayor of Nanty Glo and also worked 25 years for the state police.

He says he wanted to have a restaurant that would honor the men and women who help protect our country.

Ray says he's also been collecting military and first responder patches.
