Osceola Mills celebrates milestone anniversary with annual fireman's parade, fair
Osceola Mills, PA (WJAC) — The Columbia Fire Company in Osceola Mills is celebrating its 100th anniversary this year and, on Monday, they celebrated with a firemen's parade.
Multiple fire companies participated in the parade along with the Philipsburg-Osceola and Moshannon Valley marching bands, youth sports teams and much more.
“Without the community, we wouldn’t be able to do events like this. If we didn’t have their support, we wouldn’t be able to keep our doors open. So, they help us have a great fire department, the town should be proud of what they have here, we like to help them, and we can’t help them without them helping us.”
After the parade, the fun went to Curtin Street to the fire house for the opening day of the firemen's fair that runs every night this week, through Saturday.
