One man dead after vehicle crash in Allegheny County
A New Kensington man is dead after his vehicle slid off the roadway in Fawn Township, Allegheny County, Saturday morning, state police said.
According to a press release, Dominic Montemurro, 28, was traveling south on Pennsylvania Route 28, negotiating the exit 14 off ramp, just after 4 a.m., when his pickup truck slid sideways off the roadway.
State police said Montemurro traveled approximately 300 feet through the grass covered median before striking a tree.
The press release states that, after striking the tree, Montemurro's vehicle spun counterclockwise around it before stopping a few feet away from the initial point of impact.
According to state police, Montemurro was pronounced deceased at the scene.
