Suzanne Somers Honors 'Three's Company' With 'DWTS' Foxtrot
Suzanne Somers threw it back to the '70s on the April 6 episode of Dancing With the Stars, choosing to pay tribute to her most famous work, Three's Company, by foxtrotting to the show's theme in character as Chrissy Snow.
Entering a pretty similar replica of the living room set (complete with that famous couch and arched doorway), Suzanne-as-Chrissy honored her lovably ditzy character by rocking the same bleach blond pigtails and putting on that inquisitive voice, even making a totally Chrissy-like joke. Her dancing partner, Tony Dovolani, was in character as the late John Ritter's much beloved Jack Tripper, as the two foxtrotted their way around the living room. That same night, the actress also honored John Ritter on Instagram, sharing a vintage photo with him along with a sweet caption.
In case you didn't live off of Three's Company marathons on TV Land and Nick at Nite like this PopCrush editor, the show centered around three platonic roommates — Chrissy, Jack and Janet — who were always accidentally messing things up for one another and mistakenly wreaking havoc.
Of course, this is not the first time a DWTS contestant paid homage to their most famous piece of work. Last season's champ Alfonso Ribeiro broke out the Carlton dance, while Jonathan Bennett honored Mean Girls in one of his routines. And, of course, Willow Shields just nodded to the Hunger Games on Monday night as well. Maybe Suzanne Somers will do a Step by Step routine next! (Cue the obvious inclusion of a giant theme park roller coaster.)
