Westport Delays Opening Of Longshore Pool To May 31

The pool will open for the season Saturday, May 31. The pool usually opens for Memorial Day weekend but was not ready in time this year.

Adult lap will be open 10:30 a.m. to 7 p.m., and open swim will be available 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Hours of operation May 31 to June 22 are:

WeekdaysOpen swim, 3:30 to 7: 30 p.m.Adult lap, 3:30- to 7 p.m.

WeekendsOpen swim, 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.Adult lap, 10:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.

June 21Swim lessons, 9 to 11:35 a.m.Adult lap, 10:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.Open swim, 11:40 a.m. to 7 p.m.

The Longshore Pool Complex and Longshore Pavilion offer two swimming pools, a wading pool for small children, handicap accessible locker rooms with showers, family bathrooms and a café with outdoor seating and picnic tables. A playground and tennis courts are also available.

Guests must be accompanied by a Westport Handpass holder. No entry is permitted to the pool area without presenting a Handpass, providing a guest ticket or paying the daily guest fee.
