Who Is Grace Jabbari? All You Need To Know About Jonathan Majors' Ex-Girlfriend
Grace Jabbari is a British dancer and movement coach, and is the former girlfriend of Jonathan Majors. They were together from 2020 till the beginning of 2023. Jabbari was previously accused with misdemeanour assault after he allegedly punched and choked the Creed star on March 25 while they were riding in a car. Additionally, she accused the actor of domestic abuse, which led to his arrest on March 25.
She studied at Tring Park School for Performing Arts, the Rambert School and Northern School of Contemporary Dance, earning a master’s degree in dance from the latter. She splits her time between New York City and London.
Grace Jabbari’s Career
Grace Jabbari appeared as a dancer in films including Barbie (she can be seen in the dance sequence early in the movie) and Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One. She worked as a movement coach on Marvel’s Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, which is where she met Majors, who played Kang the Conqueror in the film. He also recently performed a version of the role in the Disney+ series Loki.
What Happened Between Grace Jabbari And Jonathan Majors?
Grace Jabbari apparently thought Jonathan Majors, star of Creed, had been unfaithful to her when she read a text on his phone on March 25, 2023. Majors then allegedly assaulted Grace Jabari during a domestic argument as he was trying to get his phone from her. In addition, she said that he had grabbed her neck, twisted her finger, and struck her in the face. She continued by making a 911 help call.
Majors was then taken into custody that same day after being accused of assault. Majors, however, has refuted all of the accusations made against him through his lawyer Priya Chaudhry. In addition to accusing the British dancer of victimising him, he filed a cross-complaint against her. Then he said she struck and scratched him.
Regarding Grace Jabbari’s injuries, Jonathan asserts that they were from her falling in his flat later that evening. Many followers used X to share their opinions on the issue after learning the news. Some even connected the incident to the Heard vs. Depp case.
On June 21, he proceeded to report domestic abuse against Jabbari to the New York Police Department, reiterating his lawyer’s assertions that he was the victim in the incident. Jabari was out of the country at the time of all of this. She will also receive a desk appearance ticket, according to a law enforcement source, requiring her to appear in court to answer to accusations.
The New York Police Department’s Office of the Deputy Commissioner, Public Information (DCPI) verified the domestic abuse accusation to The Messenger on Monday night. Jabbari is anticipated to voluntarily report to the NYPD’s 10th precinct in the future, said the DCPI. The actor filed a counter complaint against her in June, which led to this ruling.
The Manhattan District Attorney, however, had declared that Jabbari will not face criminal charges since they don’t think she did anything illegal. Prosecutors are contesting a motion to discontinue the case against Majors in court documents submitted ahead of Wednesday morning’s hearing because they do not think Jabbari committed a crime.
Majors has currently entered a not guilty plea, and the case will be looked at further.
Grace Jabbari has not talked to the media in the months following Majors’ arrest, as of December 19. The week she arrived back in New York from England to face charges, she made her Instagram private; however, she made it public once the trial concluded. The first to report that she was being charged and would be handing herself in was The Messenger. She was accused of criminal mischief and third-degree domestic violence, both misdemeanours. The charges against her were dropped after the district attorney’s office decided not to pursue the case, as it had indicated it would do prior to her detention.
