Widespread Panic Opens The Vault And Tours
ATHENS, GA (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Widespread Panic's archive vault is open. The 4th archive CD, Montreal 1997, hits the streets on October 6. Recorded at Club Soda in Montreal, Canada on September 8th, 1997, with the 6 original members; John Bell, John Hermann, Michael Houser, Todd Nance, Domingo Ortiz, and David Schools. Widespread Panic Sound Engineer, Chris Rabold, has once again dialed in the multi-track mix that puts you right in front of the soundboard and captures the energy that creates this show. Montreal 1997 showcases this hard-touring band's early development in what is turning out to be a long thriving touring career.
This 3 disc set, released on their own independent record label, Widespread Records, will be available at select Independent record stores, widespreadpanic.com and digitally from LiveWidespreadPanic.com.
In October, Widespread Panic will continue what has turned out to be an epic tour with the Allman Brothers Band. The two bands have been joining forces on stage for many great musical moments; in Chicago, Gregg Allman sat in with Widespread Panic for a stirring version of Bob Dylan's 'Just Like A Woman' and a thrilling 'Turn On Your Love Light' which also featured Warren Haynes on guitar. More great musical collaborations are anticipated as the two bands head to the Southeast with dates from Charlotte, NC to Houston, TX.
Widespread Panic has added additional solo show dates to their touring schedule. October 30th & 31st, they kick off the tour with Halloween Shows at the Austin Music Hall in Texas and New Orleans Voodoo Experience Festival on November 1st. They continue with dates all across the country in November, including multiple night runs at the Orpheum Theatre in Los Angeles, CA, Fox Theater in Oakland, CA, The Riverside Theater in Milwaukee, WI and The N. Charleston Coliseum in Charleston, SC.
