WME's Peter Grosslight Dies

LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess) — Peter Grosslight, head of global music for the William Morris Endeavor, has died after a battle with pancreatic cancer. He was 68 at the time of his passing.

A 22-year veteran of William Morris, Grosslight joined the agency after it acquired Triad Artists in 1992, an agency Grosslight founded as Regency Artists in the 1970s. Grosslght survived the turmoil of the William Morris/Endeavor merger, being appointed to the role of the head of global music at the post-merger agency.

Grosslight was a veteran agent and represented a who's who of artists, including Brian Setzer, Tom Petty, The Eagles, Whitney Houston, Journey, Don Henley and Roger Waters among numerous others over the course of his career.

“Peter was a true gentleman, whose generosity and unique sense of humor will be deeply missed,” said WME’s co-heads Ari Emanuel and Patrick Whitesell in a joint statement. “He was a pioneer in our industry and represented some of the greatest performers of our time. In addition to being a tremendous agent, he served as a valuable mentor to many of us. It was a privilege to work with him. “
