Horses are one of the best ways to get around in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom. Riding a horse, Link can quickly cover vast distances of the map. Of course, just like with weapons and armor, not all horses in the game are equal. Some are faster than others, some have more stamina, and so on. But which horses are the best ones in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom? In this guide, we are going to go over the absolute best horse specimens in Zelda TotK and also explain how you can get them.

Horses are very important when it comes to getting and claiming Pony Point Card rewards, and you can register and swap them out at the various stables in the game. But which horses stand (or, more accurately, run) apart from the rest of them? Well, there are, in fact, several horses that are just plain better than every other horse that you can find running around in the game. Of course, you will need to complete certain quests before you can get them.

Let’s start with the Giant White Stallion. This is an especially large steed that you can get close to where you can encounter the Horse God Malanya (which will then allow you to upgrade your horses and bring them back to life). There is also the Golden Horse, another great horse mount option. Finally, there is Link’s own iconic steed – Epona. Currently, there is only one way to get Epona in the game. That is – by scanning either the Super Smash Bros Link or the Twilight Princess Link Amiibo. If you are unsure how this process works, we have written a guide that explains Zelda TotK Amiibo Rewards.
